Cystoscopy

Cystoscopy is a procedure to observe the inside of the bladder and the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body). This procedure is performed using a cystoscope, which is a thin tube with a light and lens or a small video camera on the end. This tube is inserted through the urethra.
