Marrow biopsy bone and bone marrow aspiration are procedures used to take samples and test the bone marrow (the spongy soft tissue inside bones where blood cells are produced). These tests are used to diagnose many blood and bone marrow diseases, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and many types of anemia.
