Laparoscopy is a procedure The surgery is used to look inside the abdomen and pelvis. This procedure is performed using a laparoscope – a thin, flexible tube with a light source and a small camera at the end. The scope is inserted through a small incision in the abdominal wall near the navel. Additionally, a second and thirdincision may be needed in the abdomen to insert additional instruments. Laparoscopy is also known as minimally invasive surgery or hole surgery lock.
