Primary brain tumor

Overview

Brain cells can sometimes divide uncontrollably, leading to the formation of tumors in the brain, brain surface, or on nerves in the brain. These types of tumors are called primary brain tumors and are different from secondary brain tumors, and different from brain metastases in which the primary tumor comes from other organs in the body.
